Stowe August 2026 Product Updates: Receipts, grocery price tracking, and bank connection health checks
Roundup of updates to Stowe in August 2026: snap your receipts, track grocery prices, get grocery spending insights, and bank connection health status.
August 2026 Stowe Product Updates
We've added receipts to Stowe, along with grocery price tracking and a way to check the health of your bank connections.
Receipts give you more detail about where your money went. They also help answer questions that a transaction total alone can't: what do you usually pay for coffee, was that sale price any good, and which store has been cheapest for the things you buy regularly?
Here's what's new 💫
🧾Keep receipts with your transactions
You can now take a photo of a receipt or forward one by email to [email protected]. For extra privacy, you can create your own custom @stowe.email address and forward receipts from any email address.
Stowe automatically attaches receipts to matching bank transactions, keeping the purchase details alongside the payment. You can also attach or remove receipts manually.
That makes it easier to make sense of a purchase later. A charge from a department store might cover clothes, cleaning supplies, and a birthday gift. With the receipt next to the transaction, you can check what was in the bag when you're reviewing your spending.
🛒 See what you usually pay for groceries
It's hard to remember the price of everything you buy. You might know roughly what milk costs, but remembering what you paid three weeks ago, whether it was on sale, and where you bought it takes more effort.
Stowe now tracks individual product prices from your grocery receipts over time. You can see the typical price you've paid, the lowest price you've found, and how prices compare across the stores you've shopped at.
Say you buy the same oat milk every week. As you add receipts, you'll build a history of what it costs. The next time it's on sale, you have something to compare the price against. You can also see whether another store has sold it for less.
Those comparisons come from your own purchases. The more grocery receipts you add, the more history you'll have for the products you buy regularly. You can see how it works below:
Get a spending insight with each grocery receipt
Each grocery receipt also comes with a spending insight and your total savings.
Together with your product price history, this gives you more context for each store. You can review what you spent on the trip and start to see where you tend to find better prices for the things you keep buying.
Check how your bank connections are doing
When transactions haven't appeared, it helps to know whether there's a syncing or connection issue.
The bank connection screen now includes a health check for each institution. You can see how your connected institutions are doing and whether any are experiencing problems.
If an account hasn't updated as expected, this gives you a place to check what's happening. This helps you understand whether you just entered your password or MFA incorrectly, or if there is a system-wide issue with a bank.
Bug fixes across the app
We've also fixed bugs across these releases to help Stowe run more smoothly.
